By concentrating on Redevelopment of under-performing real estate, Joint Ventures, and Build-To-Suit facilities, York Realty has the assets, flexibility and mobility to cater to diverse business’ requirements. Your portfolio would be largely industrial based including, older renovated, newly developed, and repurposed properties, kept in “best of class” condition. Your responsibility will be to ensure properties are well maintained in a cost effective, efficient manner, contributing to the retention of tenants. You will assist in the budgeting process and report on variances to budgets monthly.
As the Property Manager, you are the front-line of York’s most important asset: the tenants. Developing positive relationships with both single user tenants and those in multi-tenant buildings will be key to your success. Strong communication skills and an innate friendly disposition combined with the ability to deal with multiple priorities in a detailed fashion are essential. A background in facility management, project management or construction would be an asset. You will assist in the “on-boarding” of newly acquired properties and the inspections of current properties to ensure York’s standards are being met or exceeded. Maintenance contracts will be reviewed and retendered as required. You will work closely with the Maintenance Manager and team who report to you, and report to the Director of Property Management.
Working closely with the leasing team, you will assist in the “on-boarding” of new tenants and ensuring their premises allows them to conduct their business without distraction. Leveraging your developed relationships with existing Tenants, renewals will be negotiated by you within pre-approved budgeted revenue assumptions. You should be comfortable preparing and understanding proposals and lease documentation, as well as supervision of Tenant Improvements including contract administration, and contractor and tenant management through the process. Prior experience working with the brokerage community would be an asset.
