Our first BOMA Edmonton eNewsletter of 2018. We are excited about the coming year and have several important issues to start and continue to pursue with the City and the Province.
Before getting to what’s ahead, I’d like to mention a few things that occurred recently.
And of course, BOMA Edmonton, as always, is deal with a number of files relating to advocacy:
At the January Board of Directors Meeting, Chair Ray Dumouchel was pleased to welcome two new Board Members that were voted to the Board at the November AGM. Hilary Lumme, Katz Real Estate Group and Nick Trovato, RJC Engineers, were both introduced.
This week, February 5th, is a busy one. Judges for the Awards Gala will be in the office interviewing those who entered the Pinnacle Awards Competition. As well, Judges will be fanning out across the city as they do site visits before return to the BOMA office to review submissions for the TOBY (The Office Building of the Year) Awards.
All that is in preparation for the Awards Gala on Saturday March 10, 2018 at the Westin Hotel. This year’s Gala will be a special one as the Gala Committee has worked hard at raising the bar for the Gala and the planning for this year’s event is shaping up to be a home run with some surprises for all who attend.
Don’t hear about the excitement after the event, get your registration in now and avoid having to say “Oh! I wish I had been there for that. It must have been fun.”.
As well, next week, Myron Keehn, BOMA Edmonton Representative on the BOMA Canada Board, and I as the Chair of the Chief Staff Officers Council, will be in Montreal attending the Winter Business Meeting.
