Typically attracting up to 200 city leaders, community and non-profit organizations, social agencies, healthcare providers specializing in mental health and addictions, business owners, law enforcement, security professionals, downtown workers, and residents, this summit provides a platform to showcase creative initiatives that celebrate vibrancy and promote safety.

The Downtown Safety & Vibrancy Summit is a partnership between the Edmonton Downtown Business Association (EDBA) and BOMA Edmonton and North (Building Owners and Managers Association).

CALL FOR 2025 AND 2026 PANELISTS AND KEYNOTE SPEAKERS

We are seeking engaging panelists and keynote speakers who see themselves as educators, facilitators, thought leaders, and catalysts for change. We seek session topics that are dynamic, educational, and participatory—focusing on sharing innovative ideas, strategies, resources, and practical tips in a way that involves and resonates with attendees.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Speakers are volunteers; this is a valuable opportunity for professional visibility and credibility through exposure during sessions and across our promotional channels.
  • Attendees include city officials, community and non-profit leaders, social agencies, healthcare providers, property managers, facility managers, industry suppliers, building operators, students, and anyone committed to creating safer, more vibrant downtown spaces.
  • BOMA Edmonton and North particularly welcome workshop-style sessions that actively engage the audience and foster interaction.
  • The best sessions are directly relevant to attendee needs, educational, interactive, and encourage questions and participation.

APPLICATION DETAILS

  • Applicants may submit more than one proposal, with a separate application required for each.
  • Selected speakers will receive support for the preparation of their session.
